Beautifully told unusual story with larger-than-life characters (Rated 5 out of 5)

This is a lovely read - you can revel in the language and evocative descriptions of country and coast, whilst being by turns amused, infuriated and tender towards the three people involved. Clementine, a selfish and difficult woman, is nevertheless loved and supported endlessly by the patient and almost too-good Arthur. They have built a private world full of their own observances. Then along comes Lily and nearly ruins it all.
